Block behind bed disappears when removing bed

When a bed is placed and there is a block behind the pillow side of the bed and such bed is removed, said block behind the bed disappears and will not drop anything other than the bed that was removed. I've noticed it happens more frequently when the bed is placed on a corner but might as well happen with the same frequency if placed wall that does not corner with another wall.
