Particles build up when in inventory and game glitches out

STOP! BEFORE YOU MARK THIS AS A DUPLICATE REPORT MAKE SURE THE DUPLICATE IS UNRESOLVED! In game while raining and opening a chest (or inventory) after closing the chest there is a build up of splash particles. If the chest is left open for a very long time then after closing the chest then chests and other things dissapear and the screen flickers black.
