MCPE crashes when trying to create a world

device: Motorola Moto Z Droid

Whenever I try and create a new world, regardless of the game mode or any world settings, the game crashes and I am returned to my home screen. I have not tested this with entering an already created world as I have none. Android didn't give me an option to report the crash when it happens.
