If you are moving look around and tap right outside of a movement arrow the view jerks and looks straight up or down

If I and moving right thumb looking around and go to walk if I tap right on the button it may be OK but if my finger is off the arrow hanging over the edge of the button even a little causes you to jump to looking straight up or down.
Someone on reddit claimed to have the same problem on a nexus 6p. I've even increased the button sauce to 100% and it's still there. My devices is a nexus 7 2013
