A high-frequency device with an excessively high frequency can cause the piston to malfunction.

As shown in the figure, a detector needs to be placed in the redstone dust between the piston and the high-frequency device in order for the piston to extend at a high frequency (the redstone signal from the detector is slower than the redstone signal conveyed by the high-frequency device).
