Hello Kitty DLC animals missing

Once I buy the animals from the shop, they are nowhere to be found. I am unsure on how I could show proof but aren't the cows, sheep, and pigs, supposed to be located in the barn? I tried looking everywhere in the map and even restarted all my process to reread the instructions given to me. I am unable to continue on with my gameplay due to this issue, as I can't complete certain tasks around the map.
