when trying to sign into xbox account in game it says im not connected to the internet

i have downloaded minecraft on the store and in the xbox app my xbox app works just fine but when i open minecraft bedrock and click sign in it opens xbox like its going to sign me in then says 'your not connected to the internet' i have tried so many different things to fix the issue but nothing has worked its been a ongoing problem for about 3 months now and i just want to get it fixed
