too many overpowered ghasts, blazes over-spawning and don't attack

Easy difficulty: In the nether there seem to be way too many ghasts spawning, I kill one and 5 more appear, they're seem to be overpowered and I am blasted nearly every time I step out from shelter, it is impossible to play in the nether due to the overkill The blazes also seem to over-spawn, and they do not attack at all.
