Unable to sign into Microsoft account/long time loading

Every time I try to sign into my Microsoft account, it doesn’t sign me in even after going through the process of signing in. And each time I try to, it takes longer and longer to load show the QR code. Even the sign in button takes a long time to show up after opening minecraft. If you are able to sign in, it takes a very long time for the main menu to pop back up. (Sometimes it doesn’t even pop back up at all, forcing you to close Minecraft and reopen it)
