Contradicting multiplayer settings for the world and resource pack of the Super Mario Mash-up Pack while being activated / created / used on OreUI

Clones MCPE-180557 and MCPE-37341, Relates to MCPE-189600

Currently, cross-platform (Microsoft Account) multiplayer permissions on world template of the Super Mario Mash-up Pack are toggle-able while creating the world of the Super Mario Mash-up Pack (although it has no effect), but the resource pack from the Super Mario Mash-up Pack on Nintendo Switch requires all forms of multiplayer to be disabled instead of only leaving Nintendo Switch-specific one over Nintendo Switch Online enabled that was in former versions. These contradicts each other and the latter specifically contradicts (and is misleading to) the (hidden) note in Different Minecraft Editions from Minecraft Help.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. With Minecraft open, click "Play"
  2. Click "Create New"
  3. Click "Super Mario Mash-up Pack"
  4. If the popup appears, observe it, and then proceed by clicking "Continue"
  5. Find and click "Multiplayer"
  6. Observe the multiplayer toggle and play (toggle) around with Microsoft Account permissions
  7. Turn off multiplayer toggle
  8. Try to turn multiplayer back on

Expected result:
At worst case, The game would tell you that it would only host the world in Nintendo Switch specific multiplayer over Nintendo Switch Online, however the claims were consistent. (Consistent to one from Minecraft Help).
Observed result:
On step 4, a pop-up “Disable Cross-platform multiplayer…” appears, but on steps 5 and 6, if you do not equip skins from the Super Mario Mash-up Pack, Microsoft multiplayer (cross-platform multiplayer) permissions can be toggled (which it does not have effect), sending a (wrong) message that the world could be played on cross-platform multiplayer and the pop-up on step 4 were just outdated. On step 8, the game asks you that it has to have the resource pack disabled (deactivated) so multiplayer could be enabled (this does have effect). These steps contradict each other and the pop-up from step 8 specifically contradicts one from Minecraft Help.

Workarounds:

  • Allowing Switch-specific multiplayer while using Super Mario Mash-up Pack: If you have friends (or other Switches running on alternate account) nearby, switch to local play before having the Super Mario Mash-up Pack activated on a world. It does not require Nintendo Switch Online and this seems to force Switch-specific multiplayer over local network to be enabled.
  • Making all worlds host only in Nintendo Switch-specific multiplayer over Nintendo Switch Online: I can't believe that the Super Mario Mash-up Pack being platform-restricted, it's just basically racist (specifically xenophobic) and gate-keeping, however by the time being, the most reliable workaround is to sign-out of your Microsoft account on your Nintendo Switch, this workaround does not apply to this mash-up pack for now but can be done once the Super Mario Mash-up Pack was usable on cross-platform multiplayer, however all purchased contents that's made with your Microsoft account won't be usable on there until you signed back in again.

Suggested solution: Based of a solution of my duplicating bug MCPE-181869, comments I made on MCPE-180557, the feedback, and so some research, I assume that the Super Mario Mash-up Pack is the only resource pack I used to be platform restricted (the curse (variable) is "platform_locked": true located on manifest.json of it's resource pack, skin pack and the world template, which the variable can be abused by bad actors to gate-keep multiplayer play from being usable, I assume) and that (the variable) needs to be cured (removed), if that's cured in an update, the Super Mario Mash-up Pack on Nintendo Switch would be usable on cross-platform multiplayer and this bug would be effectively fixed, this solution is very future-proof IMO, I don't have to be frustrated that I had to use my own workarounds and I won't be offended by MCPE-189600.

Note: “(Nintendo) Switch specific multiplayer”: Multiplayer mode where only Nintendo Switches can connect, "Cross-platform multiplayer": Multiplayer mode where one platform can join another (i.e. Windows / iOS / Android to Nintendo Switch). The note from Different Minecraft Editions in Minecraft Help ("Mario mash-up disclaimer from Different Minecraft Editions.png" from MCPE-189600), although mildly offensive, claimed that the mash-up pack "is playable only by Switch owners in single-player, split screen, local play, and over Nintendo Switch Online."
