using most tools in editor mode sends a massive stream of errors to the console

Attempting to use most of the tools in editor mode appears to just send a whole bunch of errors to the console.

 

Expected result: Using the tool results in the world being edited as described.

Recieved result: Errors fill up the console and nothing happens. Here is one of said errors for clarity: 

Error: No painting operation to end    at _endPainting (Main.js:14482)
    at onExecute (Main.js:14434)
    at <anonymous> (@minecraft/server-editor:2)
    at <anonymous> (@minecraft/server-editor:2)
