Cannot login to realms

When trying to play Minecraft on my switch, it will log me into my Microsoft account but the place where I'd be able to create or login to active realms is blank for about 10 minutes. Then afterwards It pops up saying "Cannot connect to realms at this time. Will try again later." I've verified I have an active switch subscription and Minecraft realms subscription.
