Attempting to access pause menu freezes game

I was casually playing MCW10, but when I wanted to bring up the pause menu with ESC or the Windows button (which doesn't pause the game, even on singleplayer, but that's another story), I don't get a pause menu. I get a frozen game. Attached to this bug report is a video, and that will probably explain it all. (Don't mind the music in the video, what's important is the bug.).
But my gameplay is fine.

EDIT: I also tested this with singleplayer, and it still freezes (I only experienced it with multiplayer at first)
