Gray screen stuck after app switching on pocket edition

If i switch from minecraft app to another app or even just click home to return to android homepage, when i open the app again, instead of loading, it gets stuck on a gray screen with background music playing. The fps counter shows 0 fps on the OnePlus game launcher too just for nore information about it.
