Sun's apparent revolution speed is incorrect when travelling

When travelling Westward towards the sun in a minecart for instance, the sun sets quicker whereas it should set slower. In the real world if you were on the equator say in March travelling at approximately 1040 mph Westward, the sun would stop still, i.e it would not set. The moon is affected in a similar way.
