Custom skin not loading on startup until I go into the character creator and reselect it

I use a classic skin. And every time I open the game, the skin above the “dressing room” button is a default skin, like Steve. When I tap into the dressing room however. The slot that is selected shows my classic skin. Once again, when I click out, I still see a default character. I have to go into the dressing room, go into the skin editor. Reselect my classic skin, even though it’s already visible, and then exit out of the editor, and I have to do this EVERY TIME I open the game, which is really annoying.
