Game continues running when switch applications.

This occured today. I was 2 weeks into my Minecraft Hardcore world, when, I closed out mincraft using the switch windows button on my phone. USUALLY IT LOGS ME OUT OF THE WORLD WHEN I SWITCH WINDOWS. But it this time it didn't, and I died to a zombie when I came back to it a minute later, when I wasn't playing the game. I came back to the window, I thought I would have to click to get back into the world but once I moved to the window of minecraft, it showed I died to a zombie. I was in full netherite but that doesn't matter when the game is still rendering when I'm not viewing it. Initially I was happy that bedrock was finally getting rid of random kill glitches but this persists. Definitely not playing again until this is fixed. Either that or a way to recover my world unofficially.
