Red dye is impossible to obtain

what i thought would happen was...:
I wanted a red carpet for my house and was trying to obtain red wool (using dye)

What actually happened was...:
although there is a recipe for red wool, which requires red dye, there is no red due recipe.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. enter crafting interface
2. find the dyes
3. look for red dye
