Unable to /give, /fill, or /setblock hardened glass

Hardened glass blocks were recently added to the creative mode inventory when the education edition setting is enabled, but they still cannot be used with the /give, /fill, or /setblock commands. This includes all variations of hardened glass, including the dyed blocks, panes, and dyed panes.
