Trapdoors appear to be darker when surrounded by blocks

surrounding the sides of a trapdoor(all types) will make it appear to be darker

To recreate: 

Place down a trapdoor. 

Hit it to open it. 

On the sides of the trapdoor like those in a square, place 4 opaque blocks like cobblestone
