Can't edit existing characters Bedrock 1.21.41

After logging in to my Nintendo account & my Microsoft account, I enter the Dressing Room, but 'Edit Character' buttons & 'Change Classic Skin' are gray on every character & cannot be interacted with. A new custom character may be created, but cannot be edited.
