Can't cure zombie villagers but still consume golden apple(regular)

I'm using Samsung Galaxy S3. When i fed regular golden apple to a zombie villager its doesn't show the status effect or particles. Its doesn't turn into zombie villager at all . 10 minutes passed but still not working.
