Edited Signs turning into #'s

So, I've been helping my friend build a map for a small recording group on his realm, and I've been editing the credit board signs to correct some of them. However, every time I do so, the sign I edit turns each row of text into the Hashtag Symbol "#". I haven't tested outside of Realms as of yet, however it is affecting the sign in Realms.

NOTE: This also defaults to the Hashtag Key, anytime I break the sign and replace it. Unsure how to fix and I have attached an image on what the affected sign looks like.
