what tablet model are you on?
Also how did you get the water on that pic?
I'm using an HP touchpad and I used this app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.zhuoweizhang.pocketinveditor&hl=en
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
Updated. And yes this is still a problem.

Can you resize it inside the options menu to make it smaller?
I am experiencing this in v0.7.1 on an iPhone 3GS. I resized the D-Pad to make it larger. The result was a pad that took up the entire display. I could not get to the options to scale it down, because the D-Pad covered the button - so it just caused my character to move to the side. This has made the game completely unplayable (beyond movement) for several weeks
D-Pad covering screen and option buttons
You can access this options while not in the game. We need a way to fix this permanently though. :/
Cleaning up all the old issues - please reply if this affects 0.9.3.
