Servers and realms not joining in minecraft pocket edition

There is a very annoying bug in which I am not able to join any realms or servers. It takes forever saying "connecting to external server" but never connects. If I use VPN It joins perfectly but with a very unplayable ping. I tried this thing on my other phone and servers connect perfectly fine without any VPN. Also, if I take wifi from my other phone in this phone then, also it works. I think this problem is in India only. Please fix this as soon as possible as, I am unable to play any servers or realms
