Piston pushing into bubble column creates ghost water

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Dig a two-block-deep hole on the ground.
2. Place a soul sand or magma block, then place water above it.
3. Place a piston next to the water.
4. Use lever or button to activate the piston.

Observed Results: The bubble column turns into "ghost" water source, meaning that if you re-enter the game, it will disappear.

Expected Results: The bubble column should simply disappear like Java Edition.
