Whenever I join a multiplayer world i can't move.

I literally can't move north, south, east, or west. But for whatever reason, I can move up and down. This has never happened to me before nor do i know anyone that it is affecting either. my username is HotdoGuy90, if it helps. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled minecraft. please help.
