Marketplace not accessible. Only accessible when running minecraft on a virtual machine.
To the team,
I can't access the marketplace.
There is a bit of a story:
Initially, I couldn't sign in to the Minecraft game (not on the launcher, the actual game). I could only sign in to the game when I ran Minecraft on a virtual machine (i.e. the equivalent to factory resetting my system - which I didn't want to actually do). Of course, I first logged in/out of everything and installed/uninstalled before trying on the virtual machine.
Since the virtual machine (fresh version) of minecraft worked, I copy and pasted the minecraft folder it generated (Microsoft.MinecraftUWP...) over onto my actual machine and replaced the 'not working' version, and it fixed the problem. So, at least I could then sign in and join realms.
However, it only partially fixed my minecraft game. Now, while i can sign in on minecraft, I can't join friends (it always give me an error that the server is full), and the marketplace does not work (error code C-0010). I want to buy able to make purchases on the marketplace, but it is just not accessible.
I suppose that my temporary fix is not good. Of course, I could get it working if i factory reset my system, such as i simulated by making a virtual machine, but I don't want to do that. I've tried uninstalling minecraft and even deleting the Microsoft.MinecraftUWP folder, but then it just recreates a 'broken' version when I re-install it. Only the minecraft game folder made on my virtual machine is working.
This is really strange. Any suggestions would be great. Is there a way to truly delete all minecraft-related files, to simulate a factory reset?
With reference to images below, 'native' refers to my installation of windows, 'virtual' refers to my virtual machine.
Any help is appreciated.
Best,
Kris
