Can't Play Multiplayer

Cannot invite players to a multiplayer world, cannot join other multiplayer worlds. 

 

The button to invite players is greyed out when not signed in to a microsoft account, and when signed in you can only invite cross-platform users, not other playstation users.

 

Issue persists across all survival and creative worlds, and across multiple PSN accounts.
