Split screen accounts not loading properly

Signing in my own Xbox accounts as player 2/3/4 for split screen the account settings and custom skins that have been created refuse to load even if I first sign in as those accounts to let them sync I have to redo my custom controller mapping for buttons and create my skin everytime I log in and am not playing player one, incredibly frustrating for me and many others I am sure.
