Skins on Preview changing and not working

So whenever I join Minecraft Preview and check my skins almost always they are different than when I made them like for example hair being a brighter brown or eyes changing color. But then I go to fix one and it works fine but if I try to change another it just doesn't load. And then when I leave and rejoin they are all messed up again.
