Cannot join realms or 15 year anniversary event

I am unable to connect to realms I'm in or join the 15 year anniversary event but I am still able to connect to all of the servers. This is not an issue with my internet since I am able to play servers and I have tried every other solution and nothing has worked. I was able to play the event for a few days but then it stopped working giving me the "unable to connect to world screen, which is also what I get when joining a realm. I really need this to get fixed so I don't miss out on getting the exclusive stuff from the event.
