FPS limit for iPads in minecraft

I've been playing for many years on iPads with the pro version, where the screen is 120hz. Why hasn't FPS unlocking been added in more than 6 years? There is a slider in the settings, but it simply doesn’t work, FPS always stays at 60. Even on iPhones this function works, even more so on Androids, but why is there no support for iPads? This problem has been going on for years and I still don't understand why people don't talk about it.
