Nether portal randomly broke upon entering

When I entered my portal I heard the portal breaking while loading, and when I did load in I noticed that the portal was indeed broken. My portal is inside a cave in the nether, no openings, so a ghast couldn't have broken it. No other mobs were around when it happened. I am now stuck in the nether. My computer's specs are CPU: Intel i9 10850k, GPU: Geforce RTX 3050, RAM: 64GB DDR4.
