Light Blocks Disappearing

I used light_block at lvl 15.  After updating to 12.1.2, I can place a light block but it immediately disappears.  When I walk near where a light block was previously placed, that block disappears as well.  The areas previously lit by light blocks go to darkness lvl 15.
