Trying to buy marketplace pass on nintendo switch causes crash when Nintendo account region is in Japan

Not only does trying to purchase a Market Pass on Nintendo Switch fail to redirect properly to the Nintendo eshop when the Nintendo Account region is in Japan, it also causes Minecraft to crash.
This error will not occur locally in the United States or Hong Kong.
