Importing custom skins

In the android version of minecraft, it is curently impossible to import custom skins to the game. I have tested multiple skins and it did not work. I have done some research and saw that other people had the same issue as I do. It shows the following message : ''That's not a minecraft skin, silly'' even tho it is one.
