Controls stop working when im hit and have chest/craft table open

Whenever i have a Chest/crafting table open and i am hit all of my controls stop working and i cant move and i have no choice but to sit there and die or quickly close the game then get back in (which mostly results in me dying anyways bc it takes so long to close). As of now i dont have a clip bc when i close the game i cant clip it anymore
