String over bubble column water causes weird interaction with boats

This bug is basically MC-273338 and MC-135192 but in Bedrock Edition.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Find or create bubble columns, magma blocks for downward bubble columns, soul sand for upward bubble columns.
2. Place String above the surface of the water.
3. Place boat.

Expected result:
Boat enters capsizing animation, before either sinking (downward bubble column) or breaking and dropping as an item (upward bubble column)

Observed result:
Boat either sinks instantly (downward bubble column) or flies (upward bubble column):
