Container GUI won't stay open when new container is cloned into its space.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Place a repeating command block below and a chest above it
2. Enter a command in the command block: clone ~ ~1 ~ ~ ~1 ~ ~ ~2 ~
3. Open the top chest

Observed Results:
The GUI closes immediately

Expected Results:
The GUI never closes

Original description:
I am trying to make a kit for a world, and usually i will just /clone the container to the area i want it and it will auto refill and everything is fine. I tried the same thing today, and every time it clones the container, it closes the gui. It used to keep it open, so i don't know if this is a bug, or a patch that is supposed to happen. Please help!
