Skeleton Horses keep players from sleeping in a bed

I've tried sleeping in a bed downstairs in my house, and I keep skeleton horses I got near my base. Whenever they're near my bed downstairs, I can't sleep in my bed because the game is counting them as a hostile mob, despite having no rider. I checked the nearby area for mobs I may not have seen, and in the cave directly under my base and lit it up, so there's no other reason I can think of for this issue.
