Hopper causes crash (details in description).

Upon placing down a hopper (either one that's crafted or from separating it from a minecart), if anything is thrown into a hopper, the game then freezes and crashes (you can access the hopper's user interface and manually place things in there just fine). No issues with throwing anything into a 'minecart with hopper' though.
