Book and Quill repeatedly copies old pages onto the current one while trying to edit

I have a book with coordinates and descriptions in my survival world. On page 23, I had some information written before the update. I edited that page, beginning a new entry. When I tried to edit that page again with coordinates, it copied my entire page 1 onto page 23 and made me edit that, deleting the old information on page 23 . After this kept happening, I decided page 23 was the problem and entered all of the lost information onto page 24 (I used an instant replay to see old info). I then added my new entry. Today, while I was trying to add another entry onto page 24, it copied page 10 onto page 24 and made me edit that. This is very infuriating, and it seems I might have to start using some other way of recording information and coordinates after over 3 years of using the same book and quill. Video Link in comments.
