text vanishes from chat box or sign from you open it

steps to reproduce.

 

1. type something in chat or in a sign
2. close the chat or sign and reopen it
3. when you press a on the chat to edit the text or when you press trigger on the sign all the text on it vanishes making you unable to edit existing text and making you retype the whole thing

fix this or commands are dead
