Dates show as American format instead of UK

I was looking at previous news and noticed that the date format was in American and then I checked settings and I was in United Kingdom English. The most recent said something like 5/21/2024 which for me is confusing but in British English it should be dd/mm/yy (21/5/2024)

 

Also I am on 1.20.81 but this only lets me do 1.21, as it was released today
