Slimes are visible through copper grates in a strange way

Slimes of all sizes are visible through copper grates in a way other mobs are not - the slime appears to be layered on top of the grate, but you can still see the grate. Similar to the nether portal and banner/sign text issue . I saw this issue in the Trial Chambers the day they were released.
