Minecraft freezing

Minecraft keeps freezing randomly.  I was hunting material in the nether when it froze out out nowhere out freezes my whole Playstation causing me to force shut down the whole thing which one is going to mess up my Playstation and 2... deletes the world I put all that time and effort into
