Panda is not concidered a "mob" in the family types

When doing some testing, the panda does not appear to count as a "mob" in the family type. The example command I tried was "/execute as @e[family=mob] run say hi" I got "No targets matched selector" message. Note this was also in a world that domobspawning was set false and all the entities were killed.
