My Minecraft characters refuse to load

To of my Minecraft characters are contently loading, and no matter what I try, I can't load them, meaning I only get 3 characters to save. (I can change them, but I'd have to change them back if I want to use that skin.) I'm playing on the latest update if that changes anything.
