Minecraft VR crashes on launch

When launching Minecraft from the meta launcher, it crashes when trying to load in. I can get to the initial part of the launcher where it prompts you to download Minecraft and check out the website if you have more questions. But once i click through the final prompt it brings up the initial Mojang splash screen, then it closes down. Once it closes down it opens the Minecraft Oculus Launcher window and a CMD window that stays blank, then it shows the system error included in the attachments and never opens. I went through all the troubleshooting steps on the website, tried many user suggested fixes, tried the steam/open/oculus xr run times and each time i get the same error. Not sure how else to handle at this point.
